A bit about Alma, Nebraska

Alma, Nebraska is situated in south central Nebraska at the northwest corner of Harlan County Lake, a popular recreation spot and the second largest body of water in the state. It is a town of quiet streets and big trees, good schools, excellent healthcare and a tight-knit sense of community.

With a population of about 1,100, Alma’s economy is based primarily on agriculture, tourism and recreation. Among the town’s many amenities are a well-kept municipal golf course, a shady city park with a swimming pool and modern library, and the Pheasant Ridge Trail, a three-mile lighted and paved trail along the shore of the lake, ideal for biking, bird watching or just taking an evening stroll.
